Description

Our Aio side table pairs a round top 45cm across with a base of thick, rounded columns that gather together beneath it, so it reads as a solid little piece of furniture rather than a top on spindly legs. It stands 52cm tall and is made from MDF finished with oak veneer, lacquered black, with the oak grain still showing faintly through. The legs are black oak veneer too, so the whole table carries the same finish from top to floor.

It is sized to sit beside an armchair or the end of a sofa in the living room, or to work as a bedside table, where 52cm puts the top within easy reach from a seat or the bed. The maker rates it to a maximum load of 20KG, enough for a table lamp, a few books, a small plant or a handful of favourite objects. Being round, it has no corners, so it tucks neatly into the space between a chair and a wall, and at 5KG it is light enough to lift and move to another room when you rearrange.

The table is MDF faced with oak veneer: a thin layer of real oak laid over a dense, even board, finished here in a black lacquer. Care is simple: the maker advises wiping it clean with a moist cloth.
