Our Aiku bowl is a wide, shallow glass bowl with the look of a shell's growth rings: its uneven rim rises and falls in soft ripples, and stepped ridges run inwards to a small, textured centre. It is 38cm long, 29cm wide and 7cm tall, generous enough to act as a centrepiece rather than an everyday dish, and it weighs 1.3KG. The glass has a pearl colour with a gentle lustre, and its translucent edges catch the light as it moves across each ridge.

As it is approved for food, it can work at the table as well as on display.
