Adeline 6 Light Crystal Chandelier - Polished Chrome 50cm

The Adeline is a 50cm diameter crystal chandelier built around a drum of twisted aluminium wire mesh, with cut-crystal droplets cascading from the base and six E14 bulb fittings mounted inside the drum. The aluminium mesh is formed from continuous lengths of wire looped and twisted into a cylindrical screen, creating a textured metallic surface that diffuses light outward while allowing the internal crystal strings to remain visible. A polished chrome ceiling plate and suspension cables support the structure, with an adjustable drop from 440mm to 1.45m.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height spaces where a central decorative fitting is visible from multiple angles, the Adeline delivers both ambient and decorative light. The six internal bulbs (sold separately) illuminate the crystal droplets from above, creating refracted sparkle through the faceted pendalogues at the base. The aluminium mesh softens the direct light from the bulbs and adds a secondary layer of reflection, producing a warm metallic glow around the perimeter of the drum. The 50cm diameter suits rooms of 15-25m² where a substantial centrepiece is needed without dominating the space.

Each crystal droplet is octagon-cut with faceted surfaces that catch and redirect light at different angles as you move around the room. The polished chrome frame and suspension cables give a clean, contemporary finish that pairs with both modern and transitional interiors. At 6kg the chandelier requires secure ceiling fixing to a joist or ceiling rose rated for the weight. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

What bulbs does the Adeline take?

The chandelier takes six E14 small Edison screw bulbs, up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining or living room light.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable E14 LED bulbs and connected to a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer. The chandelier itself has no built-in dimming circuit, so dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulbs chosen.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 440mm plus the 50cm diameter drum means the chandelier suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In dining rooms the base of the chandelier typically hangs 700-850mm above the table surface, which requires a ceiling height of at least 2.6m for comfortable clearance.

How is the aluminium mesh cleaned?

The twisted wire can collect dust in the gaps between the loops. Use a soft microfibre cloth or a very gentle brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner set to low suction. Avoid spraying cleaning fluid directly onto the mesh, as it can leave residue in the wire gaps. The crystals can be wiped with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
