9 Gang Grid Faceplate - Rounded Edge Brushed Chrome

The Knightsbridge 9-gang grid faceplate provides nine module apertures in a brushed chrome screwless plate with rounded edges. Each aperture accepts a standard euro module insert, allowing custom configurations of USB charging ports, HDMI sockets, TV coax connections, ethernet data ports, telephone sockets, or audio/video connections within a single 206mm x 146mm plate.

Designed for AV installations, home offices, and smart home systems where multiple connection types need to be grouped on a feature wall or above a worktop, the faceplate sits flush to the wall surface once fitted. The screwless design uses a separate metal grid frame fixed to the back box, onto which the brushed chrome cover plate clips without visible fixings. The rounded edge profile softens the transition between plate and wall compared to flat-edge alternatives.

The brushed chrome finish is applied to premium-grade steel, giving the plate a directional grain that diffuses reflections under lighting and fingerprints less readily than polished chrome. The built-in gasket behind the faceplate ensures a stable mount to the grid frame and prevents movement once modules are inserted. IP20 rated for dry indoor use, the plate carries a 25-year guarantee covering material and finish degradation.

The 9-gang configuration suits scenarios where six or fewer apertures would be inadequate — typical uses include conference room walls combining HDMI, VGA, USB-C and network connections, or bedroom media walls grouping TV aerial, satellite, HDMI inputs and USB charging behind a bedside unit. Modules are purchased separately and can be mixed from any manufacturer producing euro-standard grid inserts.

What back box depth is required?

The faceplate itself is 7.5mm deep and clips onto a separate grid frame. Back box depth depends on the modules you install — most euro module inserts need a minimum 35mm back box, but some HDMI or data modules may require 47mm. Check the depth requirement of your specific modules before installation.

Are the modules included?

No. The faceplate is a blank plate with nine apertures. You purchase the euro module inserts separately — USB sockets, HDMI couplers, TV coax outlets, ethernet data sockets and other connection types — and fit them into the apertures as needed.

Is it compatible with all euro module brands?

Yes. The apertures accept any manufacturer's euro-standard grid inserts. Knightsbridge produces a full range of modules in matching brushed chrome, but you can mix modules from other brands if needed.

How is the screwless plate fitted?

A metal grid frame is first screwed to the back box. The brushed chrome cover plate then clips onto the frame from the front, concealing all fixings. The plate can be removed and re-clipped without disturbing the wiring behind.
