Description

The Knightsbridge 8-gang grid faceplate is a 148mm square mounting plate that accepts eight individual euro module inserts, allowing custom configurations of TV, data, HDMI, USB, telephone or other low-voltage connections behind a single antique brass screwless faceplate. The plate is made from 201 stainless steel with an antique brass PVD finish and a built-in gasket that sits between the faceplate and the wall.

Designed for media walls, home cinema installations, office meeting rooms and commercial AV setups, the 8-gang format provides eight independently configurable apertures where any combination of euro modules can be fitted. The screwless cover clips onto a separate mounting frame fixed to a dual 35mm back box, hiding all fixings behind the faceplate once installed. The 4mm projection from the wall gives a low-profile finish that sits close to the surface.

The antique brass finish is a warm, lightly aged tone with subtle darkening in the recesses and brushed texture across the surface, pairing well with traditional, mid-century and warm contemporary interiors. The 148mm square format is the same footprint as a standard UK double socket, making it easy to integrate into existing electrical layouts. Each euro module insert (sold separately) clips into the grid apertures from the front, allowing configurations to be changed or expanded without rewiring.

Knightsbridge backs the faceplate with a 25-year guarantee. The IP20 rating means the plate is suitable for dry indoor use only and should not be fitted in bathrooms, outdoor locations or areas subject to moisture.

What euro modules does this faceplate accept?

The 8-gang grid accepts any standard 25mm x 50mm euro module inserts including HDMI, USB, CAT6 data, TV aerial, satellite F-type, 3.5mm audio jack, telephone RJ11, and blank modules. Modules are sold separately and clip into the apertures from the front.

What back box is required?

A dual 35mm back box is needed to accommodate the grid mounting frame and the depth of the euro module inserts behind the faceplate. The screwless cover clips onto the separate grid frame once the modules are installed.

Can the configuration be changed after installation?

Yes. Euro modules clip into the grid apertures from the front and can be removed or swapped without removing the faceplate or rewiring. This allows AV and data configurations to be updated as equipment changes.

Is the screwless plate removable for decorating?

Yes. The antique brass cover plate clips onto the grid mounting frame and can be removed for painting or wallpapering around the installation, then re-clipped without disturbing the wiring or module configuration.
