Description

This 60° lens accessory for the Knightsbridge POTHB1 high bay refines the beam angle of the fitting from its standard output to a more focused 60° distribution. The 213mm clear polycarbonate lens sits over the LED array inside the high bay housing, redirecting light into a tighter cone suited to higher mounting heights or targeted task areas.

Designed for warehouses, industrial units and commercial spaces where the high bay is mounted at ceiling heights of 6-10m or above, the 60° lens concentrates light downward rather than spreading it broadly across the floor. This increases illuminance (lux levels) directly beneath the fitting while reducing spill onto walls and adjacent areas, making it useful for aisle lighting, packing stations and zones needing higher light intensity without adding more fixtures.

The polycarbonate construction withstands the heat output of the LED array inside the POTHB1 and resists impact and thermal stress better than glass. The lens clips or screws into place inside the high bay housing depending on the POTHB1 variant, and is supplied as a replacement or upgrade component rather than a retrofit for other high bay models. The clear finish maintains the colour rendering of the LED source without tinting or diffusing the output beyond the beam angle control.

Frequently Asked

Is this compatible with other high bay models?

No. This lens is sized and designed specifically for the Knightsbridge POTHB1 high bay. It will not fit other manufacturers' high bays or different Knightsbridge models without modification.

What beam angle does the POTHB1 have without this lens?

The standard POTHB1 typically has a wider beam angle (around 90-120°). This 60° lens narrows the distribution for higher mounting heights or focused task lighting.

How is the lens fitted?

Fitting method depends on the POTHB1 variant. Most high bay lenses clip or screw into place inside the housing after removing the outer cover. Refer to the POTHB1 installation manual or contact us for fitting guidance.

Does the lens reduce light output?

Lenses introduce a small transmission loss (typically 5-10% depending on material quality), but polycarbonate is highly transparent and the loss is offset by the increased light concentration within the narrower beam angle, raising lux levels directly beneath the fitting.
