The Knightsbridge 6-gang grid faceplate is a white curved-edge cover plate designed to house six modular grid inserts across a double-gang footprint. The plate measures 146mm square and works with Knightsbridge's curved-edge grid system, requiring two CUG2F grid sub-frames (sold separately) to support the six modules behind the single faceplate.

Designed for installations where multiple switching or socket functions need to be consolidated in one location, the 6-gang grid format suits commercial environments, hotel rooms, office meeting rooms, and residential utility rooms where a single switch plate can control lighting zones, blinds, sockets and data connections without needing multiple separate faceplates. The plate sits 7mm proud of the wall once fitted over the grid sub-frames.

The white thermoset resin construction carries an anti-microbial coating tested to ISO 22196:2011, reducing bacterial growth on the surface in high-touch environments such as healthcare, hospitality and food preparation areas. The curved edge profile softens the visual impact of the large plate and coordinates with Knightsbridge's broader curved-edge switch and socket range. Screw cap covers are included to conceal the fixing screws once installation is complete. The plate carries IP20 ingress protection and a 25-year warranty.

What grid sub-frames are needed?

The 6-gang faceplate requires two CUG2F grid sub-frames (sold separately) to support the six modular grid inserts. Each CUG2F sub-frame holds three modules, and the faceplate covers both sub-frames in a single 146mm square plate.

Is this compatible with standard grid modules?

No. This faceplate works only with Knightsbridge's curved-edge grid system. It is not compatible with flat-profile or other manufacturers' grid modules. All modules and sub-frames must be from the Knightsbridge curved-edge grid range.

What does the anti-microbial coating do?

The coating reduces bacterial growth on the faceplate surface. It has been tested to ISO 22196:2011, which measures antibacterial activity on plastics. This makes the plate suitable for high-touch environments in healthcare, hospitality and food service.

What back box depth is required?

Back box depth depends on the specific grid modules fitted behind the plate. Most Knightsbridge grid modules require a 35mm minimum back box depth, but some deeper modules may need 47mm. Check the specifications of the individual modules before installation.
