Description
The Knightsbridge 6-gang grid faceplate is a 149mm square antique brass plate designed to house up to six grid modules from the Knightsbridge grid system. The plate is screw-fixed with four visible corner screws and provides a single square aperture divided into six grid positions, each accepting one standard grid module such as switches, sockets, dimmers, or USB ports.
Intended for residential and commercial installations where multiple switching or socket functions need to be grouped in a single location, the faceplate works only with Knightsbridge grid modules and requires two GDF002F grid frames (sold separately) to hold the modules securely behind the plate. Common applications include kitchen worktop panels, bedside control panels in hotel rooms, and consolidated switching positions in hallways or commercial spaces.
The antique brass finish is a warm, aged metallic tone with darker patination that coordinates with the Knightsbridge Square Edge Antique Brass range of switches and sockets. The premium-grade steel construction gives the plate rigidity and weight, preventing flexing when modules are inserted or removed. At 10.5mm projection from the wall, the plate sits flush with standard UK plasterboard installations.

Frequently Asked
What grid modules does this faceplate accept?
This faceplate is designed exclusively for the Knightsbridge grid system and accepts any standard Knightsbridge grid modules including switches, sockets, dimmers, USB outlets and data ports. It requires two GDF002F grid frames (sold separately) to mount the modules behind the plate.
Is this a screwless faceplate?
No. This is a screw-fixed faceplate with four visible corner screws. For a screwless option, Knightsbridge offers separate screwless grid faceplates in other ranges.
What back box is needed?
A standard 35mm double-gang metal back box is required to accommodate the grid frames and modules. The depth needed behind the plate depends on the specific modules being installed, but 35mm is the recommended minimum for most configurations.
Can I mix module types in one plate?
Yes. The six grid positions can accommodate any combination of compatible Knightsbridge grid modules, allowing you to mix switches, sockets, USB outlets, dimmers and other functions within a single 149mm square plate.
