Description

The Knightsbridge 4-gang grid faceplate accepts four modular grid switches or accessories from the Curved Edge range, allowing custom control configurations on a single 146mm x 86mm plate. The faceplate is moulded from white thermoset resin with a curved edge profile that matches the rest of the Knightsbridge Curved Edge switch and socket collection.

Grid systems allow mixing different control types on one faceplate — combine light switches, dimmer modules, USB charging ports, data outlets or blank plates as needed for each room. The 4-gang faceplate requires one CUG2F grid frame (sold separately) which fixes to the back box and holds the modules in position before the cover plate is screwed on. The included screw cap covers hide the fixing screws once installed.

The anti-microbial coating on the faceplate surface has been third-party tested to ISO 22196:2011, making this suitable for healthcare, education and commercial environments where touch-surface hygiene is prioritised. The IP20 rating means this is for dry indoor use only — not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens or outdoor installation. The white finish and low 7mm projection from the wall suit modern residential and commercial interiors.

What grid frame is needed?

This faceplate requires one CUG2F grid frame (sold separately), which fixes to the back box and holds up to four Curved Edge grid modules before the cover plate is fitted over the top.

Can this be used in bathrooms or kitchens?

No. The IP20 rating means this is for dry indoor areas only. For bathrooms you would need a faceplate with a higher IP rating suitable for zones 1, 2 or 3 depending on proximity to water sources.

What modules are compatible?

Only modules from the Knightsbridge Curved Edge grid range are compatible with this faceplate. These include light switches, dimmer modules, USB outlets, data ports and blank plates. Modules from other Knightsbridge ranges or other manufacturers will not fit.

What does the anti-microbial coating do?

The coating has been tested to ISO 22196:2011 and inhibits bacterial growth on the faceplate surface. This does not replace regular cleaning but reduces microbial colonisation between cleanings, which is useful in healthcare, education and high-traffic commercial environments.
