Description

The Knightsbridge 3-gang grid faceplate is a polished chrome cover plate designed for the Flat Plate modular grid system, measuring 148mm wide by 88mm high with a 3.5mm projection from the wall once fitted. The faceplate accepts three grid modules and requires one GDF002F metal frame (sold separately) to hold the modules in place behind the faceplate.

Designed for residential, commercial and hospitality installations where a mix of switches, sockets, dimmers or data modules are needed in a single wall position, the grid system allows individual modules to be selected and configured to match the specific requirement. The flat-edge profile gives a low-projection finish that sits close to the wall surface, reducing the visual presence of the fitting compared to traditional raised-edge plates.

The polished chrome finish provides a bright, reflective metallic accent that coordinates with the wider Knightsbridge Flat Plate range of switches and sockets. The premium-grade steel construction holds the polished surface without flaking or discolouration under normal indoor use. The faceplate is IP20 rated for dry indoor locations and carries a 25-year manufacturer warranty.

What is needed to complete the installation?

This faceplate requires one GDF002F metal frame (sold separately) to hold the grid modules. The frame fixes to a standard 35mm back box, the grid modules clip into the frame, and this faceplate clips over the top. Grid modules (switches, sockets, dimmers, data) are sold separately.

How many modules does it hold?

This 3-gang faceplate holds three standard-width grid modules. Knightsbridge grid modules are available in 1-module, 2-module and wider formats depending on the function.

Is it compatible with other Knightsbridge ranges?

No. This faceplate is specific to the Flat Plate grid system. It will not fit standard Knightsbridge switches or sockets outside the grid range, and grid modules will not fit standard faceplates.

What other finishes are available?
