Description

The Knightsbridge BT20ACTEMA is a 20W LED emergency bulkhead with adjustable colour temperature switching (3000K/4000K/5700K), corridor function automation, and a 3-hour maintained emergency backup. The fitting uses a 380mm diameter polycarbonate body rated IP65 for weather resistance and dust ingress protection, with an opal diffuser giving a 115° beam spread. Output levels are 1780lm at 3000K, 1980lm at 4000K, and 1885lm at 5700K depending on the selected CCT setting.

Designed for stairwells, corridors, shared hallways, exterior canopies and commercial circulation routes where emergency lighting is required under building regulations, the bulkhead supports maintained, non-maintained and switched emergency modes. The corridor function automatically dims the fitting to 10% standby when no movement is detected for a set period, then returns to full output when motion is sensed, reducing energy consumption in low-traffic periods whilst maintaining code-compliant emergency coverage. The 81mm projection from the mounting surface keeps the profile low on walls and ceilings.

The polycarbonate body resists impact and UV degradation better than standard ABS housings, making the fitting suitable for exposed outdoor positions under overhangs as well as internal applications. The hinged gear tray allows access to the emergency battery, driver and CCT switch without removing the entire fitting from the ceiling. Push-fit terminal blocks simplify first-fix wiring. The SMD LED array is rated for 50,000 hours to L70B50 and carries a 5-year warranty excluding the rechargeable battery.
