The Knightsbridge 20AX 1-gang 2-way SP grid toggle switch is a modular component built for compatibility with Knightsbridge's grid wiring system, designed to clip into separately-sold mounting frames. The module measures 56.3mm high by 24.8mm wide, fitting single-module apertures in standard grid plates. The toggle actuator sits on a brushed chrome faceplate backed by a steel and ABS construction rated to 20AX at 230V, handling lighting circuits up to 4,600W.

Grid systems allow multiple switch, socket and control modules to be grouped together on a single faceplate, giving flexibility in commercial, hospitality and residential installations where conventional single-gang switches would require multiple back boxes. This toggle switch operates as a 2-way single-pole switch, meaning it can control a lighting circuit from two positions when wired in parallel with a second 2-way switch, or function as a simple on/off switch when used alone.

The brushed chrome finish provides a directional grain that softens reflections compared to polished chrome, pairing well with stainless steel appliances, contemporary interiors and other brushed metallic finishes in the same room. The toggle actuator protrudes 20.5mm from the mounting frame once installed, giving tactile feedback when switching. The IP20 rating restricts installation to dry indoor locations only — this module is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor settings or anywhere subject to water ingress.

Installation requires a 35mm minimum back box depth behind the grid mounting frame.
