Description

The Knightsbridge 20A 1-gang double pole switch carries a 20A load rating for fixed high-draw appliances such as water heaters, electric showers, immersion heaters and instantaneous water heating units. The double pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when turned off, providing additional safety over single-pole switching for fixed appliances. The neon indicator glows red when the switch is in the on position.

Designed for residential, hospitality and light commercial installation, the switch fits a standard 25mm minimum back box depth and uses a screwless cover plate that clips onto a separate metal sub-frame. This means there are no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed, giving a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed plates. The matt white finish has a low-sheen surface that resists fingerprints and sits flush with the wall at 4.3mm projection from the back box.

The premium-grade steel construction and built-in gasket provide durability and dust protection to IP20 standard. The switch is certified to EN 60669-1 and carries a 25-year warranty. The matt white finish pairs with white and neutral-toned wall finishes in kitchens, utility rooms, bathrooms and airing cupboards where immersion heaters and water heating appliances are typically controlled.
