Description

The Knightsbridge 2-gang modular faceplate is an 86 x 86mm white plate with square edges, designed to accept euro-module inserts for custom AV, data and telecom installations. The plate provides two 25 x 50mm apertures for standard euro-modules, or can accept a single 50 x 50mm double-width module.

Designed for installers building bespoke wall outlet configurations, the faceplate pairs with separate euro-module inserts sold separately — HDMI, CAT6, coaxial TV, USB chargers, telephone RJ11, audio jacks and blanking plates. This allows a single wall plate to combine multiple connection types rather than fitting separate dedicated outlets. The 86mm square dimension matches standard UK electrical accessories, allowing the modular plate to sit alongside switches and sockets in a uniform grid.

The ABS construction keeps the plate lightweight while providing durability for repeated module insertion and removal during configuration. The white finish has a smooth, clean surface that pairs with standard white electrical accessories across residential, office and light commercial installations. The square edge profile sits flush with the wall once fitted to a standard back box, with a 12mm total projection from the wall surface. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations.

What euro-modules does this faceplate accept?

The faceplate accepts two standard 25 x 50mm euro-modules side by side, or a single 50 x 50mm double-width module. Compatible modules include HDMI, CAT5e/CAT6 data, coaxial TV, USB chargers, telephone RJ11, 3.5mm audio jacks and blanking plates. Modules are sold separately.

What back box depth is required?

The required back box depth depends on the euro-module inserts being used. Most standard modules require a 25-35mm back box depth. Deep modules such as HDMI with rear connections may need a 47mm box. Check the individual module specification before ordering.

Can I mix different module types on one plate?

Yes. The two apertures accept any combination of compatible 25 x 50mm euro-modules, allowing you to pair HDMI with CAT6, or TV coaxial with USB charging, or any other combination that suits your installation.

Is this compatible with screwless cover systems?

No. This is a traditional screw-fixed faceplate with visible screw holes at top and bottom. For a screwless finish, look for Knightsbridge's screwless modular grid systems.
