The Knightsbridge 2-gang grid faceplate provides a brushed chrome cover for two grid modules installed on a separate mounting frame. The faceplate measures 86mm square with a rounded edge profile and a 7.5mm projection from the wall once fitted. The brushed chrome finish shows directional grain lines visible in the image, giving a satin-like appearance that reduces fingerprint visibility compared to polished chrome.

Designed for use with Knightsbridge's modular grid system, the faceplate accepts two standard grid modules (switches, dimmers, data outlets, blanks) fitted to a 1-2 gang grid mounting frame sold separately. This allows custom configurations where a single wall plate can combine different control types — for example, a light switch alongside a dimmer, or a switch with a data outlet. The grid system suits both residential and commercial installations where flexibility in outlet configuration is needed.

The faceplate is constructed from premium-grade steel rather than brass or aluminium, providing structural rigidity that prevents warping when the cover is removed and refitted during redecorating. This faceplate requires a separate 1-2 gang grid mounting frame, which fixes to the back box and holds the grid modules. Knightsbridge produces mounting frames for flat plate, raised edge and metalclad installations — all sold separately at Niori.

Can this be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating restricts this faceplate to dry internal locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor locations, or anywhere moisture ingress is a concern.

What grid modules does it accept?

The faceplate accepts any two standard Knightsbridge grid modules, including switches, dimmers, USB outlets, data sockets, and blank plates. This allows custom configurations combining different control types on a single wall plate.

Is the faceplate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The faceplate can be removed from the mounting frame for painting around the outlet and refitted without disturbing the wiring or grid modules underneath. The steel construction prevents warping when the plate is removed and replaced.
