The Knightsbridge 2-gang grid faceplate in brushed brass is a square 87.5mm cover plate designed to accept two flat plate grid modules on a separate mounting frame. The ultra-flat profile projects just 3.5mm from the wall surface once installed, giving a minimal finish that sits flush with the wall rather than standing proud like traditional switch plates.

Designed for custom grid configurations in residential and commercial installations, the faceplate works exclusively with Knightsbridge's Flat Plate Grid System and requires a 1-2 gang grid mounting frame (sold separately). This allows installers to combine switches, sockets, dimmers, data ports and other grid modules behind a single cover plate, reducing the number of individual faceplates needed for complex switch runs in hallways, kitchens and offices.

The faceplate is stamped from premium-grade steel and finished in brushed brass with a directional grain that softens reflections under direct lighting. The IP20 rating confirms suitability for dry indoor locations. At 87.5mm square the faceplate matches the footprint of standard UK double gang back boxes. The brushed brass finish coordinates with the wider Knightsbridge Flat Plate range, allowing consistent detailing across mixed switch, socket and grid installations.

What mounting frame is required?

This faceplate requires a Knightsbridge 1-2 gang grid mounting frame for Flat Plate (sold separately). The frame fixes to a standard double gang back box, and the cover plate then clips onto the frame over the installed grid modules.

How many modules can it hold?

The 2-gang faceplate accepts up to two flat plate grid modules. Modules include switches, sockets, dimmers, blanks, data ports and other grid accessories from the Knightsbridge Flat Plate Grid System.

Is it compatible with other Knightsbridge ranges?

No. This faceplate is designed exclusively for the Flat Plate Grid System. It will not fit standard Knightsbridge switches or sockets, and it will not fit grid modules from the Raised Edge or Metalclad ranges without the appropriate mounting frame.

What other finishes are available?
