Description

The Knightsbridge UCLED18CW is an 18W LED striplight delivering 1550 lumens of 4000K cool white light through a 1138mm polycarbonate housing with an opal diffuser. The integral driver runs directly from 230V mains, avoiding the need for external power supplies or transformers. The fitting measures 22.8mm wide by 36mm deep, making it slim enough for under-cabinet installation, cove lighting and recessed slots where depth is restricted.

Designed for kitchens, offices, workshops and retail environments needing crisp task lighting, the striplight ships with a 2m power cord, end-to-end coupler and fixing clips for surface mounting. Multiple units link together using the included coupler or separate link leads (sold separately), allowing runs of up to 12 fittings to be connected. Each fitting can be independently switched, so sections of a linked run can be controlled separately depending on circuit design. The fitting mounts horizontally or vertically depending on the installation.

The polycarbonate body carries an IP20 rating, making this suitable for dry indoor locations only. The opal diffuser softens the LED source into a continuous line of light with a 145-degree beam angle, reducing glare when viewed from the side. At 110.2 lumens per watt, the fitting provides high efficacy for its output class. The non-dimmable design means it operates at full brightness whenever powered, with a rated L70B50 lifespan of 54,000 hours — approximately 18 years at 8 hours daily use.

Is this striplight dimmable?

No. The UCLED18CW operates at full brightness whenever powered and is not compatible with dimmer switches or controls.

How many units can be linked together?

Up to 12 fittings can be linked end-to-end using the included coupler or additional link leads sold separately. Each fitting can be independently switched if wired to separate circuits.

What is included in the box?

The fitting ships with a 2m mains power cord, one end-to-end coupler for linking to another striplight, and fixing clips for surface mounting. Additional link leads for longer runs are sold separately.

Can it be used in bathrooms or outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating means this fitting is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It is not protected against moisture ingress and should not be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any outdoor location.
