Description

The Knightsbridge 13A 2-gang DP switched socket integrates an automatic LED nightlight behind an anthracite screwless faceplate with black insert and matching rockers. The nightlight sits at the bottom of the plate, emitting 55 lumens of 4000K neutral white light controlled by a non-adjustable photocell sensor that activates in low-light conditions (below 5-15Lx) and deactivates when ambient light returns (above 20-40Lx).

Designed for landings, corridors, children's bedrooms and hotel hallways where low-level orientation lighting is needed after dark without occupying a socket aperture with a plug-in nightlight. The dual-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when the socket is switched off, providing additional safety over single-pole switching for high-draw appliances. The 13A rating handles standard UK appliance loads up to 3,120W per outlet.

The anthracite finish is a dark metallic grey with a smooth matte surface that resists fingerprints and pairs cleanly with contemporary, industrial and minimalist interiors. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, eliminating visible fixings on the wall once installed. The premium-grade steel construction provides rigidity and long-term durability in high-traffic commercial and residential installations.

What back box depth is required?
