Description
The Knightsbridge 12-gang grid faceplate is a brushed chrome modular plate measuring 209.6mm × 149.3mm, designed to hold twelve euro module inserts in a single unit. The plate accepts any combination of TV, data, USB, HDMI, telephone and blank modules, allowing custom configurations for media walls, office workstations and smart home control points without running multiple separate faceplates across the wall.
Built for residential media walls, commercial office installations and hospitality rooms where multiple connection types need to be grouped together, the 12-gang format consolidates what would otherwise require several smaller plates into one clean aperture. The plate fits a triple-gang UK back box (146mm × 146mm) and sits flush to the wall using an integrated gasket that sits between the faceplate and the plasterwork. Modules are inserted from the front and clip into the grid frame without requiring screws on the finished face.
The brushed chrome finish provides a satin metallic surface that resists fingerprints better than polished chrome and pairs with both contemporary and transitional interiors. The steel construction gives the large plate rigidity without warping, and the IP20 rating confirms it is suitable for dry indoor use only. Knightsbridge backs this faceplate with a 25-year guarantee, reflecting the durability expected from commercial-grade wiring accessories.

Frequently Asked
What back box size does this need?
The 12-gang grid faceplate requires a triple-gang UK back box (146mm × 146mm minimum). Some installers use deeper back boxes (35mm or 47mm) when housing multiple data cables behind the plate to avoid cable crush.
What modules fit this faceplate?
Any Knightsbridge or compatible euro module inserts fit the grid: TV coax, CAT5e/CAT6 data, HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, phone/RJ11, blank plates and speaker terminals. Modules are sold separately and clip into the grid from the front without screws.
Is the plate screwless?
The faceplate itself uses screws to fix to the back box, but the euro modules clip into the grid from the front, so there are no visible screw fixings on the finished face once the modules are inserted.
Can it be used in bathrooms or kitchens?
The IP20 rating confirms this is suitable for dry indoor use only. It should not be installed in splash zones (within 60cm of a bath, shower or basin) or in outdoor locations.
