Description
The Knightsbridge 10AX 4-gang 2-way toggle switch provides four independent lighting circuits controlled by matching antique brass metal toggles on a square edge steel faceplate. Each gang is rated at 10AX (10 amps), handling up to 2,300W per circuit on 230V mains, making it suitable for standard domestic and commercial lighting loads including LED, halogen and incandescent lamps.
Designed for rooms requiring multiple lighting zones controlled from two positions — living rooms with separate ceiling, wall and table lamp circuits, kitchens with island, worktop and ambient lighting, or hallways with front and rear entrance control. The 2-way switching allows each circuit to be operated from this switch and a second switch elsewhere in the room. The square edge plate sits flush to the wall with a 10.5mm projection and a built-in gasket that seals against the mounting box for a clean finish without gaps.
The antique brass finish is applied to premium grade steel and develops a darker patina in the recesses around each toggle, giving the plate depth and tonal variation that changes depending on room light. The metal toggles match the plate finish and provide a more substantial tactile feedback than plastic rockers. The switch requires a 16mm minimum back box depth and is fixed with visible screws at each corner — this is not a screwless variant.

Frequently Asked
What does 2-way switching mean?
2-way switching allows each lighting circuit to be controlled from two separate switch positions in the room. You would wire this switch and a second 2-way switch at another location (e.g. opposite ends of a hallway or either side of a bedroom) so the lights can be turned on or off from both positions.
What back box depth is required?
A 16mm minimum back box depth is needed. The switch has a built-in gasket that seals against the mounting box once the faceplate is screwed down.
Is this a screwless plate?
No. The square edge antique brass plate is fixed with visible screws at each corner. For a screwless variant in the same finish, see the Knightsbridge screwless range which uses a clip-on cover plate over a separate sub-frame.
What finishes are available in this range?
Knightsbridge produces the square edge 4-gang toggle switch in polished chrome, brushed chrome, polished brass, antique brass, satin brass, matt black and white. Use the search or filter functions to find other finishes in stock at Niori.
