Description
The Knightsbridge 10AX 3-gang 2-way toggle switch offers independent control of three separate lighting circuits from two locations, housed behind a premium steel faceplate in an antique brass finish with a square edge profile. Each toggle operates at a 10AX rating, suitable for circuits up to 2,300W per gang on 230V mains.
Designed for rooms with multiple entry points such as through lounges, hallways and landing spaces, the 3-gang 2-way configuration allows three different light fittings to be controlled independently from either end of the room. The square edge faceplate sits flush with the wall surface with a 10.5mm projection, and the matching metal toggles retain the same antique brass finish as the plate. A built-in gasket behind the faceplate provides IP20-rated protection against dust ingress.
The antique brass finish shows a warmer, darker patina than polished or satin brass, with subtle tonal variation across the brushed surface that suits period properties, traditional interiors and heritage restoration projects. The premium steel construction carries a 25-year warranty and requires a minimum 16mm back box depth for installation. Terminal connections use standard screw fixing with an earth terminal included.

Frequently Asked
What does 2-way switching mean?
A 2-way switch allows the same light fitting to be controlled from two separate switch locations, typically at opposite ends of a room or at the top and bottom of a staircase. This 3-gang version provides that functionality for three independent circuits.
What back box depth is required?
A minimum 16mm back box depth is needed. The faceplate adds 10.5mm of projection from the wall once installed, giving a total depth of approximately 26.5mm.
What is the maximum load per gang?
Each gang is rated at 10AX on 230V, which supports circuits up to 2,300W. This is suitable for most domestic lighting loads including multiple LED or halogen downlights on a single circuit.
How does antique brass differ from other brass finishes?
Antique brass shows a darker, warmer patina than polished or satin brass, with subtle tonal variation across the surface. The finish is less reflective than polished brass and pairs well with period properties and traditional interiors.
