Description

The Knightsbridge 10A fan isolator module is a single-width grid component that provides triple-pole switching for extractor fans and ventilation systems. The module clips into Knightsbridge grid mounting frames from the front, allowing installation without removing the frame from the wall. The matt white finish matches standard UK electrical accessories in kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms.

Triple-pole isolation disconnects live, neutral and earth when switched off, providing full electrical isolation for servicing or replacing an extractor fan. The 10A rating handles standard domestic extractor fans rated up to 2,300W on 230V mains. The module is rated IP20 for indoor dry locations and carries a 1500A conditional short circuit current rating.

The module measures 25mm wide, making it a single-width component in the Knightsbridge grid system. Multiple modules can be combined in 2-gang, 3-gang or 4-gang mounting frames to create custom switch and socket configurations. The matt white ABS and steel construction gives a non-reflective surface that resists fingerprints and marks better than gloss finishes.

Yes. The module clips into Knightsbridge grid mounting frames, sold separately. Grid frames are available in 1-gang, 2-gang, 3-gang and 4-gang configurations in various finishes to match this matt white module.

What back box depth is needed?

A 25mm minimum back box depth is required. The module has a 12mm recessed depth and 7mm front projection, giving a total depth of 19mm from the wall surface once installed in a grid frame.

Can multiple modules be combined in one frame?

Yes. This single-width module can be combined with other Knightsbridge grid modules (switches, sockets, dimmers, USB chargers) in multi-gang frames to create custom configurations. Each single-width module occupies one position in the frame.
