Description
The Knightsbridge 1-gang grid faceplate is an 88mm square screwless cover plate designed to accept a single euro module insert for custom AV, data or electrical installations. The faceplate is cut from 201 stainless steel and finished in antique brass, which gives a warm aged bronze tone that sits between polished brass and oil-rubbed bronze.
Designed for residential and commercial installations where single-point connections are needed without mounting a full multi-gang socket, the grid faceplate accepts any standard euro module insert such as HDMI, USB, RJ45 data, coaxial TV, phone line or speaker terminals. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal grid frame that's fixed to the back box, so there are no visible screws on the wall once installed. The 4mm plate projection sits close to the wall surface.
The antique brass finish is applied over stainless steel rather than brass plate, which gives corrosion resistance and maintains the finish tone in humid environments. The textured linear grain visible in the surface is part of the manufacturing process and helps hide fingerprints and minor scuffs. The faceplate requires a standard 25mm minimum depth back box and fits alongside other Knightsbridge grid system components where multiple modules are needed side by side.

Frequently Asked
What inserts does this faceplate accept?
The faceplate accepts any standard euro module insert, including HDMI, USB (A, C or combined), RJ45 Ethernet, coaxial TV sockets, 3.5mm audio jacks, speaker terminals and telephone line modules. Euro modules are sold separately and clip into the grid frame behind the cover plate.
How is the screwless plate fitted?
A separate metal grid frame fixes to the back box with screws. The euro module insert clips into this frame, then the antique brass cover plate clips over the front of the frame. The cover can be removed for maintenance or redecoration without disturbing the wiring.
What back box depth is required?
A standard 25mm minimum depth back box is needed. The total projection from the wall surface once the faceplate is installed is 10mm, with the cover plate itself adding 4mm.
What other finishes are available in this range?
Knightsbridge produces this grid faceplate in polished chrome, brushed chrome, polished brass, matt black and white finishes. The same faceplate is also available in 2-gang, 3-gang and 4-gang configurations for multi-module installations.
