The Knightsbridge 1-gang blanking plate covers unused electrical back boxes behind a gunmetal flat plate finish with just 2.5mm projection from the wall. The plate is cut from premium-grade steel and carries an IP20 rating, providing dust protection for back boxes where a socket or switch has been removed or relocated during rewiring.

Designed for residential, commercial and hospitality installations, the blanking plate fits standard 25mm single-gang back boxes and uses a built-in gasket to sit flush against the wall surface without gaps. The ultra-flat profile means the plate sits almost level with the wall rather than projecting forward like traditional screw-fixed plates, giving a cleaner finish in minimalist and contemporary spaces.

The gunmetal finish is a dark grey-brown metallic tone that pairs well with industrial interiors, exposed brickwork, concrete and polished plaster finishes. The 87.5mm square faceplate is secured to the back box with machine screws via an earth terminal, and the flat plate design leaves no visible screw heads once fitted. The blanking plate fits standard 25mm single-gang back boxes (also called 1-gang or 35mm boxes in some manufacturers' terminology). The 87.5mm square faceplate covers the aperture completely and the built-in gasket seals against the wall surface.
