The Knightsbridge NETTS1BK is a 1-gang 1-way touchless switch module in a 50 x 50mm euro format, activated by a hand gesture within 3cm of the sensor surface. The sensor detects the presence of a hand and toggles the connected lighting circuit on or off without requiring physical contact with the switch plate.

Designed for hygiene-critical environments such as medical facilities, care homes, commercial washrooms, and food preparation areas where minimising germ transfer is a priority, the touchless module also suits accessibility applications where users have limited dexterity or mobility. The module fits a euro-format mounting box with a minimum 47mm depth and requires a neutral wire connection to power the sensor electronics.

The polycarbonate construction carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor use and a Class II double-insulated design. The black finish integrates cleanly with modular switch plate systems where multiple euro modules are combined in a single faceplate. The sensor's 3cm detection range is calibrated to respond to deliberate hand gestures while ignoring incidental movement at greater distances, reducing false activations.

Yes. The touchless sensor requires a neutral wire connection to power the electronics. Standard 2-wire switching circuits (live and switched live only) will not work with this module.

What mounting box depth is needed?

A minimum 47mm back box depth is required. The module itself has a recessed depth of 37.4mm, leaving clearance for cable connections behind.

How sensitive is the sensor?

The sensor detects hand gestures within 3cm of the switch surface. This range is calibrated to respond to deliberate gestures while ignoring incidental movement at greater distances, reducing false activations in high-traffic areas.
