Description

The Zowie is a shallow dish of ribbed clear glass on a short brass arm: a round wall plate 7cm across, a straight rod out to a knuckle, and a wide flat shade 18cm across hanging under a threaded brass gallery. The ribs run out from the centre of the dish to the rim. The arm adjusts forwards and backwards but does not twist sideways, and with it out at 90 degrees the shade sits 23cm from the wall.

A dish this shallow hides almost nothing: the bulb hangs below the glass in plain sight and the light goes down and outward rather than being held in a shade. This one is wired in rather than plugged in, and it needs an electrician to fit it to a wall or a ceiling. It takes one E27 bulb up to 60W, it is suitable for use with a dimmer switch, and it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms. No bulb is included.

The shade is glass and the arm and the plate are brass under an antique brass finish. The shade is removable.
