Description

The Zero Round Ceiling Canopy is the round ceiling plate that powers Zero Round pendants. It is a slim, flat disc in a brushed brass finish, 32.5cm across and 3.8cm deep, with a fine circular grain across its face that catches the light from the pendants beneath it. The canopy gives no light of its own. Inside it sits a built-in 100W driver, which feeds the pendants hung from it at 24V DC, so the driver they run on is already in the canopy rather than tucked away somewhere else. The pendants themselves are sold separately, so you choose the ones you want and hang them from it.

It belongs on a ceiling indoors, in a dry room, wherever you want Zero Round pendants to hang from a single neat fitting. We like it above a dining table, in a living room or in a wide hallway, where the flat, brass-finished disc sits close to the ceiling and keeps the eye on the pendants rather than on the fixing. The canopy runs on 230V mains power and is wired in by a qualified electrician. Once it is in, it does the work of the driver for the pendants hung from it, so beyond the canopy itself, the system asks only for the pendants you choose, each sold separately.

Dimming is built in as well. The driver is DALI or push dimmable, so the pendants hung from it can be dimmed on a DALI control system or with push dimming, whichever your electrician wires it for. The brushed brass finish has a soft, even grain rather than a mirror shine, which suits warm metal tones and pale ceilings alike. As a practical note, allow for a disc 32.5cm across when you plan where the pendants hang, and settle with your electrician whether you want DALI or push dimming before the canopy goes up.
