Description

The Zero Round ceiling canopy is the round plate that fixes to the ceiling and powers the pendants hung from it. It is a flat disc 32.5cm across and just 3.8cm tall, finished in black, so it sits close to the ceiling with a low, clean line. It gives no light of its own. Inside is a built-in 100W driver that feeds the pendants at 24V DC, so there is no separate driver to buy or to find room for. That driver is DALI or push dimmable, which means the pendants can be dimmed from a DALI control system or by push control.

We see this canopy as the starting point for anyone planning pendants over a table or across a room. The pendants are sold separately, each one hung from the canopy and powered by it, and the canopy itself runs on the 230V mains, wired in by an electrician. It carries no IP rating, so it is for dry indoor rooms only: a living room, a dining room, a hallway, a study or an office. The black finish gives a crisp contrast against a pale ceiling and sits quietly on a dark one, and the shallow profile keeps the eye on the pendants rather than on the fitting that holds them.

The canopy is a simple round plate with a shallow rim, and because the driver is built in, it does the work of a ceiling rose and a driver housing in one black fitting. Its driver supplies 100W, so add up the wattage of the pendants you plan to hang and make sure the total stays within that figure. Because it dims by DALI or by push, it suits either a DALI control system or push control. The canopy is for a qualified electrician to install, and once it is in place the pendants take all their power from it.

No. The pendants are sold separately; each one hangs from the canopy and is fed at 24V DC by its built-in driver.

Can the pendants on this canopy be dimmed?

Yes. The built-in driver is DALI or push dimmable, so the pendants it feeds can be dimmed by a DALI control system or by push control.

How is the canopy powered?

It runs on the 230V mains and is wired in by an electrician, then feeds the pendants hung from it at 24V DC.
