Description

The Zero Round ceiling canopy is the round ceiling plate that powers a single pendant in the Zero range. It is 20.6cm across and 4.1cm high, a slim, flat disc that sits close to the ceiling, and it comes in White, Black, Brushed Champagne, Brushed Bronze, Brushed Brass or Brushed Titanium, so you can match it to the pendant hanging from it. The canopy gives no light of its own. Inside it sits a built-in 60W driver, which takes the 230V mains supply and feeds the pendant at 24V DC, so there is no separate driver to find room for in the ceiling.

It holds one pendant, sold separately: one Zero Round, Zero Square or Zero Ellipse pendant hangs from it and makes the light, while the canopy powers it at 24V DC. On its own the canopy does nothing, so it is worth choosing the two together. Because the driver dims by DALI or push, it suits a project run on a DALI control system as well as a room where a simple push switch is all you want. It carries no IP rating, so it belongs on indoor ceilings in dry rooms only and nowhere it can be splashed.

In every finish it is a clean, flat disc with a straight, shallow rim, so it reads as a quiet part of the ceiling rather than a feature in its own right. The canopy runs on 230V mains and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician; once it is in, the built-in driver looks after the pendant. A practical note before you order: choose your pendant, your finish and the way you plan to dim at the same time, so the canopy and the pendant suit each other and your controls from the start.
