Description

The Zero Ellipse is a pendant light formed as one slim oval ring in a brushed bronze finish, 130cm long and 59cm wide, with a band just 3cm deep. Its light is integrated LED, set along the inner edge of the ring, so there is never a bulb to buy or change. It gives 4079 lumens from 47W, and a CRI of 90 means food, fabrics and skin tones look true under it. We sell it in two colour temperatures, a 2700K version for a warmer glow or a 3000K version for a slightly fresher white.

Its long, open shape is made for a dining table: hung lengthways over it, the ring follows the table and spreads light to everyone seated around it. In a living room it works over a coffee table or a large rug, giving a broad pool of light rather than a single bright point. It hangs on fine wires with a drop of up to 500cm, so it can sit low over a table even beneath a high ceiling. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The pendant comes without its canopy. To run it you need a Zero Round ceiling canopy, sold separately, as these canopies serve the Zero Ellipse too: a single canopy, or one for 2, 3 or 4 pendants. The canopy holds a built-in 60W 24V driver for each pendant and feeds it at 24V DC, which is why the ring is a Class III fitting rather than one that runs at mains voltage. That driver is DALI or push dimmable, so you can dim the light from a DALI system or a push switch. The pendant and its canopy are wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. Before ordering, measure your ceiling height and table so the drop and the 130cm ring sit right.
