Description

The Zephra is an 810mm diameter circular LED pendant light from Ideal Lux, built around a continuous ring housing an integrated 59W LED strip set to 3000K warm white. The ring itself is finished in matt white metal with a frosted acrylic diffuser along the inner edge, creating a floating halo effect when lit. The fitting suspends on clear cables from a white canopy, with the 35mm-deep ring profile keeping the visual mass low.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living spaces where the ceiling height allows a large-diameter pendant, the Zephra provides both direct downlight through the centre of the ring and indirect uplight from the inner rim. The 810mm diameter suits tables 1400-1800mm long or kitchen islands up to 2000mm, where a single central pendant is preferred over multiple smaller fittings. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations.

The white finish on the metal ring keeps the fitting neutral across varied interior palettes, while the 3000K colour temperature provides warm ambient light rather than the cooler tones of office or retail LED. The integrated LED is fixed and non-replaceable, but the 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux covers LED failure within that period. The fitting is not dimmable on standard mains switching.

Is the Zephra dimmable?

No. The integrated 59W LED is not compatible with standard dimmer switches. The fitting operates at full brightness on standard mains switching only.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 35mm-deep ring has minimal vertical projection, so the primary consideration is the suspension cable length and the clearance needed above a table or island. For a dining table, allow at least 700-800mm between the table surface and the underside of the ring. Most installations work in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above.

Can the LED be replaced if it fails?

The LED is integrated and not user-replaceable. The fitting carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux covering LED failure within that period. After the warranty expires, the entire fitting would need replacing if the LED fails.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry indoor locations only and does not carry the IP44 minimum required for bathroom zones.
