Zelda 3 Light Pendant - Vintage Brass

The Zelda is a 3-light pendant from Hinkley with a central column of three graduated brass spheres suspended on a vintage brass chain, supporting a 514mm diameter etched glass drum shade. The spheres increase in size from top to bottom, creating a sculptural vertical element that runs through the centre of the cylindrical shade. Three E27 bulb fittings sit inside the drum, each mounted on a curved brass arm extending from the central column.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher, the Zelda provides ambient overhead lighting with the etched glass diffusing the three bulbs into a soft, even glow. The drop is adjustable between 550mm and 3550mm on installation by shortening the chain, allowing the pendant to be positioned 700-900mm above a table surface or hung lower in double-height spaces. The vintage brass finish has a warmer, slightly antiqued tone compared to polished brass, reducing reflections and complementing both traditional and mid-century interiors.

The etched glass drum is a single piece that slips over the brass assembly and sits on a lower brass hemisphere cup, with the bulbs positioned inside. Each bulb requires a standard E27 fitting up to 60W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose warm-white LEDs for dining areas or higher-output bulbs for task lighting over worktops. The combined glass and brass construction gives the fitting a substantial presence without dominating a 3-4m room width.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 550mm plus the 470mm fitting height totals 1020mm. For positioning 700-900mm above a dining table, a ceiling height of 2.7m or above works best. Lower ceilings can accommodate the Zelda if the pendant is hung in an entrance hall or over a kitchen island rather than a seated dining position.

What bulbs does it take?

The Zelda takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining lighting.

Is the drop adjustable after installation?

No. The drop is adjustable on installation by shortening the chain to the desired length, but once fitted the pendant cannot be raised or lowered without re-accessing the ceiling rose and adjusting the chain.

How is the glass shade fitted?

The etched glass drum slips over the central brass sphere column and sits on a lower brass hemisphere cup. The glass is held in place by gravity and the upper ceiling canopy, with no exposed screws or clips on the exterior.
