Zelda 3 Light Pendant - Polished Nickel

The Hinkley Zelda is a 3 light pendant built around a central column of graduated polished nickel spheres that increase in size from ceiling to shade, creating a vertical axis through the fitting. The column suspends from a polished nickel canopy on a chain-and-cable assembly, with the drop adjustable on installation from 550mm minimum to 3550mm maximum. Three E27 sockets sit inside a rectangular bowed drum shade made from etched glass, each bulb housed in its own polished hemisphere cup within the shade.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and hallways with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Zelda provides ambient light through its etched glass drum while the polished nickel finish adds reflective accents. The 514mm width and 470mm shade height suit tables between 1.4m and 2m long, with the pendant typically hung 700-800mm above the surface. The rectangular bowed shape of the shade gives broader light coverage than a circular drum of the same width, making it particularly well-suited to rectangular dining tables.

The etched glass diffuses the light from all three E27 bulbs (sold separately, 60W max each) to reduce glare and create an even wash of light across the table surface. The polished nickel finish on the spheres, canopy and hemisphere cups inside the shade provides a cooler-toned metallic accent that pairs with stainless steel appliances, chrome taps and contemporary fittings. The spherical column detail references mid-century design without replicating period fixtures directly, allowing the Zelda to sit comfortably in both transitional and contemporary interiors.

What bulbs does the Zelda take?

The pendant takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining use.

What table size does it suit?

The 514mm width works best above dining tables between 1.4m and 2m long. The rectangular bowed shade provides broader light coverage than a circular drum, making it particularly well-suited to rectangular tables.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is adjustable on installation only, set by shortening or lengthening the chain before final wiring. Once installed, the height cannot be changed without disconnecting the fitting and re-wiring.

How is the etched glass cleaned?

Wipe the etched glass drum with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with water is acceptable. Avoid glass cleaners containing ammonia or solvents, as these can leave streaks on etched surfaces.
