Description

These are two small stoneware Christmas plates, each 12.5cm across and 2cm tall, with a shallow, gently raised rim. One carries a bold swirl that turns like a peppermint sweet around a plain centre printed with the words 'Christmas loading' above a little progress bar. The other has fine stripes radiating around the rim and a single wrapped sweet in the middle. Together they make a cheerful, multicoloured pair that looks properly festive without taking itself too seriously.

At 12.5cm across, these are side plate size rather than dinner plates: just right for a mince pie, a slice of Christmas cake, a few biscuits with coffee or a handful of chocolates passed round after dinner. They suit a festive breakfast table through December, an afternoon tea with friends, or a place setting where each guest has a small plate for bread or pudding. Because the two designs differ, they work nicely as one each for two people on Christmas Eve, or side by side on a tray with a pot of tea on Christmas morning.

Both plates are made entirely of stoneware, finished with decal decoration and hand-painted details.
