Description

The Winslow is a five-light chandelier with cylindrical seeded glass shades mounted on a natural brass frame, designed by Kichler. Five E27 lampholders sit within glass cylinders arranged radially on curved brass arms extending from a central hub, with a twisted brass chain running to a matching ceiling rose. The seeded glass adds subtle texture without heavily obscuring the filament bulbs inside.

Designed for dining rooms, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above, the Winslow works in both traditional and transitional interiors. The 502mm diameter suits tables between 1200-1800mm in length, and the adjustable drop (530-1444mm via chain length) allows the chandelier to be set 750-850mm above a dining surface or higher in double-height spaces. The natural brass finish develops a patina over time unless sealed.

Each arm curves gently outward from the central column, creating a balanced radial symmetry that reads cleanly from below. The seeded glass cylinders are open at the top, allowing heat from the bulbs to escape and making bulb replacement straightforward without removing the glass. The brass frame shows a brushed rather than polished finish, which reduces glare under daylight and pairs well with warm wood tones, terracotta, deep greens and other earthy palettes.

What bulbs does the Winslow take?

The chandelier has five E27 (Edison screw) lampholders, each rated to a maximum of 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED filament bulbs between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K to complement the brass and seeded glass.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 530mm plus the 410mm fitting height means the chandelier extends at least 940mm from the ceiling rose. For a dining table installation with the chandelier sitting 750-850mm above the surface, a ceiling height of around 2.5m is needed. Higher ceilings can use more of the 914mm chain length.

Does the brass tarnish?

Natural brass develops a patina over time when exposed to air and handling. This is a characteristic of the material rather than a defect. If a consistent bright finish is preferred, the brass can be sealed with a clear lacquer during installation.

Is the seeded glass textured on both sides?

The seeded effect is created by air bubbles within the glass during manufacturing, so the texture is internal to the material. The glass surfaces are smooth to the touch, making cleaning straightforward with a dry microfibre cloth.
