Description

A set of four champagne glasses, each 20cm tall and holding 250ml. The bowl is tall and narrow and tapers from the rim down to a short, thick stem that flares out into the foot, so the weight of the glass sits low in the hand. The glass is clear and blown by hand, with small bubbles caught through the bowl and a dimpled surface over the stem.

Each glass holds 250ml. At 20cm they stand tall on a laid table, and the thick stem and the wide foot keep the weight down at the base. They suit a long summer drink as much as a celebration.

The glass is recycled. Waste glass is collected and washed to remove impurities, then crushed and melted down before it is blown by hand into shape, which is where the bubbles and the uneven surface come from. No two glasses in a set of four are identical. Visla is also made as a plain tall glass.
