The Venexia is an outdoor pendant light with a compact, simple shape: a short cylindrical holder sits on a flat disc, and beneath it lies a clear disc diffuser. It is finished in Micaceous Grey, a dark grey with a fine textured surface. It is 22cm across and 11cm tall, and it hangs on a drop of up to 300cm, so you can set it low over a table or higher under a tall ceiling. The light comes from an integrated LED of 8W giving 594lm, so there is no bulb to buy or change.

Rated IP65, it is made for outdoor use, so it suits a covered terrace, a pergola, a porch or the table on your patio, and several hung in a row work well over a long outdoor dining table. It is just as much at home indoors, over a dining table or in a living room, and we like the idea of using the same pendant inside and out so the two spaces feel connected. The light is a warm 2700K with a colour rendering index of 80, a soft glow for evening meals and conversation.

The Venexia runs on 230V and is wired in to the mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install. Its ceiling canopy is 10.4cm across and 3.7cm tall, small enough to sit neatly on a soffit or a pergola beam. It is not dimmable, so it suits an ordinary on/off switch rather than a dimmer.
