Description

The Venexia outdoor floor lamp is a low bollard light, 70cm tall, with a slim round pole rising from a round base to a flat disc head 22cm across. The head is a band of clear glass beneath a matching top plate with a small round cap at its centre, and the light glows softly through that glass all the way round. Inside is an integrated LED of 8W giving 594 lumens of warm white light at 2700K, with a CRI of 80, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It is finished in Corten, a deep rust-brown that runs from the base to the top plate.

With an IP65 rating, it is made for outdoor use, so it suits a garden path, the edge of a patio, a terrace or a planted border where a low, warm light helps people find their way after dark. A few set along a route give a gentle line of light at a low level rather than glare at eye height, and the rust-brown tone sits easily among planting, gravel and stone. It is at home indoors too, beside a sofa in a living room, where a low glow suits a quiet evening. It is not dimmable, so it gives its full light whenever it is on.

We like how simply the Venexia is put together: a single column, a glass head and one Corten finish carried through the pole, the base and the top plate, so it reads as one clean shape from the ground up. It is a Class II fitting and runs on mains power at 230V. Because the LED is integrated there is no lamp to replace, and at 70cm tall with a 22cm head it is a modest size, easy to place in a narrow bed or beside a step without crowding it.
