Description

The Velos is a 13-light LED cluster pendant built around cascading methacrylate shades suspended from a 85cm chrome-plated circular canopy. Each shade is microprinted to create a frosted, fabric-like texture that diffuses the warm 3000K LED light housed within. The 13 pendants drop at staggered heights, creating a sculptural mass that fills vertical space and acts as both light source and architectural feature.

Designed for high-ceilinged spaces, the Velos suits double-height entrance halls, mezzanine landings, and dining rooms with ceiling heights of 3m or above. The drop is adjustable between 55cm and 300cm on installation, allowing the cluster to be tailored to the room proportions. The integrated 63W LED system runs on UK 230V mains and includes a TRIAC driver compatible with 0-10V dimming via the included RF remote control, giving smooth brightness adjustment without visible flicker.

The methacrylate shades are lightweight yet rigid, and each one is shaped to suggest draped fabric frozen mid-movement. The chrome canopy provides a polished reflective anchor that contrasts with the soft translucency of the shades below. At 10.5kg total weight, the pendant requires secure ceiling fixing — gravity toggles are included in the kit to distribute the load across multiple fixing points. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only.

Yes. The integrated 63W LED includes a TRIAC driver compatible with 0-10V dimming. The pendant ships with an RF remote dimmer set, allowing wireless brightness control without needing to wire a physical dimmer switch into the circuit.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop ranges from 55cm minimum to 300cm maximum. For the cluster to read as intended, ceiling heights of 3m or above work best, allowing the 13 pendants to cascade at different levels without crowding the space below.

What are the shades made from?
