Description

The Vellmere medium pendant in bright nickel hangs a wider clear glass shade from cool, bright metalwork, giving a crisper look than a warm finish while keeping the same open form. The shade measures 310mm across and the drop adjusts from 410mm to 1510mm, so it can be shortened for a low ceiling or let out over a table. One E27 screw fit lamp rated at 10W lights it, and with clear glass the lamp is part of the picture, so a filament style LED suits it. Add a dimmable lamp and a compatible dimmer switch and the level comes down smoothly.

The wider shade gives a single ceiling light enough presence to hold a round dining table, a hall or a stair void on its own, and it also pairs nicely over a longer kitchen island. Clear glass pushes light sideways as well as down, which lifts the walls and stops the room feeling like it has one bright spot in the middle. Bright nickel works with cool schemes: white and grey walls, stainless appliances, chrome taps and handles. It suits anyone matching lighting to fittings that are already silver rather than brass.

The frame and ceiling plate are metal in a bright nickel finish and the shade is plain clear glass.
