Description

The Valencia is a twin-head lamp post in die-cast aluminium with a black powder coat finish, standing between 1840mm and 2720mm depending on how many extension pieces are fitted during installation. Two lantern heads sit on curved arms extending from the central post, each housing a single E27 bulb behind clear glass panels and a pointed aluminium crown. The IP54 rating allows the post to be installed in exposed positions subject to rain and dust.

Designed for driveways, garden paths, front entrances and courtyard lighting, the Valencia casts light downwards and outwards from both heads simultaneously, covering a wider area than a single-head post. The adjustable height allows the post to be set to suit the surrounding planting, paving levels and proximity to windows. The hexagonal base plate bolts to a concrete foundation or metal spike ground mount (sold separately). The twin arms are spaced 650mm apart at their widest point, giving sufficient spread for pathway edges or driveway borders.

The die-cast aluminium construction resists corrosion in coastal and inland locations without needing a coastal exclusion zone, and the black powder coat finish gives a low-sheen surface that weathers consistently. Each lantern head uses clear glass rather than frosted or textured glass, so the light output from the E27 bulbs is not diffused by the enclosure. The fitting ships with a 5-year guarantee from Norlys covering manufacturing faults and finish degradation under normal outdoor exposure.

What bulbs does the Valencia take?

Each lantern head takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor ambient lighting.

How is the post height adjusted?

The Valencia ships with extension pieces that slot between the base and the twin-head section during installation. The full height range is 1840mm to 2720mm depending on how many extensions are fitted. Once installed the height is fixed unless the post is dismounted and re-assembled.

Does it need a ground foundation?

Yes. The hexagonal base plate bolts to either a concrete foundation set into the ground or a metal spike ground mount (sold separately). The post is not freestanding and requires a secure fixing to resist wind loading on the twin lantern heads.

Is the black finish suitable for coastal locations?
