Description

An eight-sided tealight holder, 8cm tall and 7cm across, built from eight panels of silvered glass set into a metal frame in a brass finish. The silvering is broken up across every panel, dark and flaking in places and near clear in others, so each face reads as old mirror rather than new. The top is open, and the frame is worked by hand, so the bars sit slightly unevenly against the glass.

A tealight goes inside, and the light comes out through the silvering rather than straight through the glass, so what it throws is mottled and broken up instead of even. At 8cm this is the smaller of the two sizes, low enough to stand along a mantel or down the middle of a table without blocking the view across it. Two lit side by side, the frame bars read as dark lines between the panels.

The glass is recycled and the frame is metal in a brass finish. The antiquing on each panel is done by hand, so no two holders are mottled the same way. A tealight is not included.

Yes. Position the candle securely and keep the flame away from the glass. Keep it out of reach of children, wait until it has cooled fully before handling it, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
