Description

These twist candles come as a pack of 12 slim white spirals in 100% paraffin. Each one is 1.2cm across and 11cm tall, so they are small, slender candles rather than full-length dinner candles, and they suit little holders made for thin candles. The spiral runs most of the length and ends in a short plain section at the base that sits in the holder, while the top narrows neatly to the wick. The wax has a gentle gloss, so each twist catches the light along its length.

Each candle burns for one hour and, as the maker describes it, is self-extinguishing, so they suit shorter moments rather than a long evening: a birthday celebration, a festive window sill, or a dining table lined with small holders. With twelve in the pack there are enough to dot along a mantelpiece or share between several holders at once, and a few tied together with string make a thoughtful small gift.
