Description

The Tussi Mara is a flat woven cushion cover in wool and cotton, 50cm square. A large stepped diamond sits in the centre of a cream ground, worked in mustard and charcoal with a fine pale line running through its middle, and arrow points run out from it to left and right. Bands of mustard and of charcoal cross the cover above and below the diamond, and a short cut fringe finishes the bottom edge.

At 50 by 50cm it takes a 50cm inner, and the inner is not included. The cover weighs 420 grams, most of that in the wool, and lies 1cm thick before it is filled. It sits in a row along a sofa between plainer covers in the same mustard and charcoal tones.

The cover is wool and cotton, woven flat so that the pattern is built into the weave rather than printed onto it, and the stepped edges of the diamond are the weave showing its own grid. The Tussi Mara is made in this mustard and grey and in a dusty pink, both at 50 by 50cm.
