Description

A square cushion cover, 65 x 65cm, in a coarse and loosely woven merino and cotton. The ground is a muted moss green, and narrow cords in undyed cream run straight across it from side to side at even intervals, standing proud of the surface so the face is ridged under the hand. The green yarn is uneven in tone, lighter in some picks than in others, so the ground reads as a mottled colour rather than a flat one.

The weave is open and heavy, and the cover holds a square shape with soft corners rather than sharp ones. Against a plain headboard the moss green is the only colour the cover carries. At 65 x 65cm it takes the back row on a bed or the back of a deep sofa, and at 0.8kg for the cover alone it is substantial rather than light.

The yarn is an RWS certified merino wool blend with cotton, cleaned and spun before weaving. The stripe is built on the loom rather than printed or applied afterwards, which is what raises the cream cords above the green ground. Tudo is made in this one size and this one colourway.
