Description

Trudy is a pink stoneware candle holder in the shape of a small bird, its head curving round towards a cup that takes a single taper candle. The body rises from a short, sturdy foot, so the candle stands at the back like a raised tail and the whole piece reads as a little character in its own right. It is 12.5cm tall, 9cm long and 6cm wide, a compact size for a windowsill, a narrow mantelpiece or the corner of a desk, and at 0.28KG it is light enough to move from room to room with ease.

Because it holds one candle, it is happiest in a spot where a single flame is enough: a bedside table, a bookshelf between paperbacks, or a hall console where a tall taper adds height to a low arrangement.
