Description

We stock this Triac constant current LED driver as a dimmable power supply for LED panels, downlights and strip. It gives up to 40W output across an adjustable 150-300mA current range, so you can pair it with different LED loads without swapping the unit. A constant current driver regulates the current to the LEDs rather than the voltage, which helps keep brightness steady across the circuit.

It takes AC 100-260V 50/60Hz mains input and dims using the Triac protocol, so it works with most standard UK leading-edge and trailing-edge wall dimmers fitted on the mains side. That makes it a practical choice for both retrofit projects and new installations where you want smooth mains dimming. The IP20 rating means it is for dry indoor use only, so we would fit it inside a ceiling void or an enclosure rather than anywhere damp.

The housing is white plastic and measures about 190mm x 48mm x 28mm, with cable entry points at each end and knockout points on the sides for flexible routing. It is CE certified. It is a driver only, so the LED load and a compatible Triac wall dimmer are sold separately, and dimming performance depends on matching the driver to a compatible dimmer.
