Description

The Tornado is a 98cm linear suspension light built around a matt black aluminium frame with a sculptural curved detail at the centre. An integrated 50W LED runs the length of the bar, diffused by an acrylic panel and opal silicone accents that distribute 3000K warm white light evenly below. The suspension height adjusts between 40cm and 135cm on installation, allowing the fitting to be set to the correct drop above a dining table, kitchen island or breakfast bar.

Designed for open-plan kitchens, dining rooms and modern living spaces, the Tornado provides both ambient and task light across a 2-3m run of worktop or table. The curved central motif breaks the linear form and adds visual interest when viewed from the side, making the fitting read as sculptural rather than purely functional. The TRIAC-compatible LED driver supports 0-10V dimming, allowing smooth adjustment from full output down to a low glow for evening use.

The matt black finish absorbs reflections and pairs cleanly with black steel, dark wood and concrete finishes in contemporary and industrial interiors. The fitting weighs 1.45kg and is supplied with gravity toggles for secure ceiling installation into plasterboard or masonry. The IP20 rating limits the Tornado to dry indoor use only — it is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies or other damp locations.

Most installations set the fitting 70-80cm above the table or worktop surface. The suspension adjusts between 40cm and 135cm total drop, so the correct height depends on your ceiling height and the intended use. Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating limits the Tornado to dry indoor spaces only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms, outdoor canopies or any location where moisture is present.
