Description

The TorlanPro is a 1500mm (5ft) industrial LED batten rated IP69K, built for environments requiring high-pressure washdown and exposure to moisture, dust, and impact. The fitting houses an integrated 45W LED delivering 6400lm at 4000K cool white through an opal acrylic diffuser with a 140° beam angle. The IP69K rating certifies protection against high-temperature, high-pressure jet cleaning — the highest ingress protection standard available for UK lighting products.

Designed for dairy farms, meat processing facilities, commercial kitchens, pharmaceutical cleanrooms, and agricultural feed storage areas, the TorlanPro withstands direct jet cleaning with hot water and chemical sprays without compromising the sealed enclosure. The IK08 impact rating protects the polycarbonate and nylon housing from mechanical impact equivalent to a 5kg mass dropped from 295mm. Rear-entry cable routing through sealed glands keeps internal components isolated from contaminants.

The Class II double-insulated wiring system allows for installation without earthing, simplifying cable runs in retrofit projects where existing infrastructure lacks earth continuity. The fast-fit mounting system clips directly to ceiling or wall surfaces using the integrated brackets without requiring the housing to be disassembled. The 75mm diameter tube profile keeps the fitting compact for low-clearance applications such as cold stores and process tunnels.

The 60,000-hour L70B50 lifespan equates to approximately 13.7 years of continuous operation before the light source degrades to 70% of initial output. IP69K is the highest ingress protection rating for lighting, certifying the fitting against high-temperature (80°C), high-pressure (80-100 bar) jet cleaning from multiple angles. It's required in food processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and agricultural environments where hygiene protocols mandate regular washdown with hot water and detergents. Standard IP65-rated fittings are not suitable for these applications.

Can this be installed in cold stores or refrigerated areas?

Yes. The TorlanPro operates across a wide ambient temperature range typical of cold storage facilities. The sealed construction prevents condensation ingress when the fitting is moved between cold and warm zones. Check the specification sheet for the exact operating temperature range.

Is the fitting dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver is non-dimmable. The 45W output and 6400lm brightness are fixed at switch-on.

How is the fitting mounted?

The TorlanPro uses a fast-fit clip system with integrated mounting brackets for direct surface fixing to ceilings or walls. Cable entry is via rear-facing sealed glands, allowing the wiring to be routed without disassembling the housing. No tools are required to open the body during installation.
