Description

The To-Be is a slim linear LED pendant light in a white finish: a single tube 85cm long and just 2.2cm across, hung on a drop of up to 200cm. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or replace. It gives 181lm with a CRI of 90, which keeps food, fabrics and skin tones looking true, and it draws 2.8W or 4W depending on the version. It comes in 2700K or 3000K: 2700K is the warmer, softer white, and 3000K is a little crisper.

We see it over a dining table or beside a sofa in the living room, where its fine vertical line adds light without crowding the space. One on its own suits a side table or a reading corner; several at different heights over a dining table make a fuller group. It comes with canopy or without canopy, for multi-pendant canopies (sold separately). With canopy, it hangs from its own small canopy, 5.5cm across and 13cm tall. Without canopy, it is made to hang from a multi-pendant canopy alongside other pendants. For the 24V DC version only, a remote 24V DC driver is needed, which is not included and is sold separately: it supplies the pendant with its power. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, at 230V. The white finish runs the full length of the tube, so it sits quietly against a pale ceiling. Before you order, measure from the ceiling to the point where you want the tube to end, and keep in mind that the drop goes up to 200cm.
